Kiwanis International is a global organization of volunteers dedicated to changing the world one child and one community at a time. We achieve our purpose through local Kiwanis Clubs through which we contribute more than 7 million service hours and more than $100 million annually in projects in 96 nations. Kiwanis sponsors the largest youth leadership organization in the world with nearly 300,000 youth leaders in the United States alone.
The Kiwanis Club of West Hartford has a long history of providing service to our community. We utilize an active committee structure that ensures members can use their time and experience in ways that best suit their schedule and interests. Committees include community service, fundraising, human and spiritual values, scholarship, membership education and growth, sponsored youth leadership, public relations among others. Our membership has raised more than $80,000 for local youth activities and many times that amount in volunteer hours and in-kind donations during the past three years alone.
Join us at one of our regular meetings at 6:30pm. We meet the 2nd and 4th Tuesdays of the month at West Hartford Town Hall. With as little as two hours a month you can make a difference in our community. We look forward to sharing the exciting service projects that we are working on and inspiring you to join our efforts.
